Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy at Sammā — when magnetic fields meet the living body

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy

Gentle electromagnetic pulses that interact with the body's bioelectrical activity — a quiet form of stimulation supporting the body's natural capacity to regenerate and restore balance.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, or PEMF, works through gentle electromagnetic pulses that pass through the body and interact with the electrical activity of the cells. The body is not only biochemical; it is also bioelectrical. Every cell depends on subtle electrical exchanges to communicate, produce energy, repair tissue, and maintain healthy function.

At Sammā, PEMF is used to support the body’s natural processes of recovery, regeneration, and regulation. It may help encourage microcirculation, cellular metabolism, tissue repair, muscular relaxation, joint comfort, and overall vitality.

The therapy is non-invasive and effortless. You simply rest while the pulsed field moves through the tissues, offering a quiet form of stimulation that supports the body’s capacity to restore balance from within.

How a session unfolds.

First consultation 60 minutes; follow-up sessions 45 minutes.

  1. 01

    Intake & Indication

The practitioner reviews your situation and the area you wish to address. The protocol — frequency, intensity, duration — is defined according to the indication and to recent research.

  2. 02

    Positioning

You settle on the table or chair, fully clothed. The applicator is positioned on or around the area to be treated. The fields are imperceptible: no heat, no contact sensation.

  3. 03

    The Session

During the session, you simply rest. The body receives the pulsed fields at the cellular level. Most people experience the moment as calm and unintrusive.

  4. 04

    Tracking & Adjustment

Most indications ask for a series of sessions. The practitioner adjusts the protocol over time and tracks the markers — pain, mobility, sleep, recovery — in dialogue with you.

Questions we often hear.

PEMF is considered safe for most people. Specific contraindications exist — implanted electronic devices (pacemakers, insulin pumps), pregnancy, certain medical conditions — and the practitioner checks for these during the intake.

Most indications ask for a series of 10 to 20 sessions, spaced according to need. The practitioner defines the protocol based on the indication and reviews the markers at regular intervals.

Coverage depends on your complementary insurance. We invite you to check your contract before starting a series. Sammā issues invoices that meet Swiss complementary-billing standards.

Each session lasts 20 to 40 minutes. The session itself is silent, calm and non-invasive.
